Why you should come to AMPed Up!

AMPed Up! is a wonderful opportunity to bring together the Australian amputee community; meet and network with peers, and make lifelong friendships.

The AMPed Up! Conference will educate, encourage and empower you.  

This conference boasts a huge exhibitor hall and will showcase the latest prosthetic products, assistive technology solutions, virtual reality techology, accessible vehicles and much more!

You will leave feeling empowered to make choices and decisions about your life, have new networks and make lifelong friendships.  

Conference program

We are thrilled to release the two day conference program. We have a range of exciting and engaging presenters, panel sessions and a few fun surprises to keep everyone entertained and engaged.

For the first time, Limbs 4 Life will also be hosting a session for Healthcare providers. This session will take place during the lunch break on Day one of the conference. Healthcare providers will be presenting on their research and programs that they run for the amputee community.

The Welcome Event

If you are attending AMPed Up! you'll love our official 'Welcome Event' held at the conclusion of day one. The Welcome Event is a chance to chat to everyone, enjoy drinks and canapes, listen to our very own band 'Missing Bits,' and best of all, this event is included in the price of your ticket!!! 

Location

The Adelaide Convention Centre is a purpose-built accessible venue, conveniently positioned 15 minutes from Adelaide airport and only a brief walk from the Adelaide train station and CBD.

Funding support and payment options

Limbs 4 Life has been successful in obtaining a funding grant from the Department of Social Service's 'National Disability Conference Initiative.' If you are ineligible for NDIS support and you'd like to attend AMPed Up! funding assistance may be available to you. 

Limbs 4 Life may fund:

• Conference registration (ticket costs) for up to 30 individuals (amputees and their partner/carer) who are currently receiving the Disability Support Pension, Age Pension or who are holding a Health Care Card
• Travel or accommodation costs subsidised for 15 interstate attendees (up to $200 per person)
• Travel costs subsidised for attendees residing in regional South Australia (up to $100 per person)

If you meet one of the above criteria, please complete and return an Application Form. 

Applications will close on Monday 16 December OR EARLIER if funding has been exhausted. 

NDIS

If you are supported by the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) you may be able to include the cost of registration for AMPed Up! in your participant plan. Registration costs come under the ‘Capacity Building Supports’ or ‘Core Supports’ categories.

If you are NDIS plan or agency managed, contact your support coordinator to request that conference registration costs be funded through your NDIS Plan. Limbs 4 Life can issue a Tax Invoice upon request. 

Payment plan

Limbs 4 Life can offer a payment plan to assist you to attend. If you would like to learn more about this opportunity, please contact our office.

Adelaide boasts a wide range of accommodation options close to the venue. Should you require an accessible room, or you have specific requirements, make sure that you speak with hotel booking staff before making your reservation.
